Veterinary Surgeon
East Sussex
£51,000–£68,000 DOE | Full or Part Time | Independent Practice | No OOH
Imagine finishing morning consults, grabbing your lunch and walking down to the beach before heading back for an afternoon of surgery.
Thats everyday life at this friendly, independent coastal practice.
My client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with around 2–3 years UK small animal experience who enjoys true general practice and wants to build lasting relationships with both clients and their pets. This isnt a high-volume conveyor belt of appointments. Its a practice built around continuity of care, clinical freedom and giving vets the time to do the job properly.
Youll take the lead at their well-established branch, working with a loyal client base who value seeing the same vet whenever possible. If you enjoy following cases through, getting to know families and making a genuine difference, youll fit right in.
The caseload offers an enjoyable mix of consultations, routine surgery, dentistry and more complex first-opinion procedures, giving you plenty of variety throughout the week while maintaining a sensible work-life balance.

A practice where youre trusted
This is a genuinely independent practice where clinical decisions are made for the patient—not targets or spreadsheets.
Whether youre discussing treatment plans with clients or managing surgical cases, youll be trusted to use your judgement and practise medicine the way you trained to.
The team believe that continuity creates better outcomes, which is why they work hard to ensure clients see familiar faces and vets can build long-term relationships with their patients.

Why this practice?
Independent practices like this are becoming increasingly rare.
For almost 30 years theyve built their reputation through exceptional client care, continuity and investing in their people rather than chasing figures. They remain one of the few independent practices in the Brighton area and continue to grow through recommendation and word of mouth.
If youre looking for somewhere you can settle, know your clients by name, enjoy the variety that general practice brings and finish each day feeling youve made a difference, this is well worth a conversation.
