My independent client in Essex is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its friendly and established team.

You will join a large and supportive team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, student nurses and experienced support colleagues. The successful candidate will be encouraged to use their full range of nursing skills while playing an important role in delivering excellent patient and client care.
The role
• Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse position
• Salary from £30,000 to £34,000 depending on experience

Clinical responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting Veterinary Surgeons during consultations, surgical procedures and diagnostic investigations
• Monitoring anaesthesia and providing attentive postoperative care
• Running laboratory tests and processing diagnostic samples
• Administering medications, vaccinations and prescribed treatments
• Providing compassionate nursing care to medical and surgical patients
• Maintaining accurate and up to date clinical records
• Educating clients on preventative healthcare, medication and postoperative care
• Supporting the smooth day to day operation of the hospital
• Working both independently and collaboratively as part of the wider team
About you
The successful candidate will:
• Be a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse listed on the RCVS register
• Have at least two years of experience working as an RVN
• Be confident undertaking general medical and surgical nursing duties
• Have practical laboratory and diagnostic experience
• Communicate warmly and professionally with clients
• Deliver consistently high standards of patient care
• Work calmly and efficiently within a busy clinical environment
• Be compassionate, proactive and enthusiastic
• Enjoy working as part of a supportive and collaborative team
• Be committed to their continued professional development
